Be Brave with Your Life

What does brave look like?

Make a list of what you think brave looks like.

Sure there are the kinds of brave, where you are fighting dragons, fires or aliens 🐉 🔥 👽

Or facing bad news, running into a burning house or facing your fear of snakes or spiders.

But let’s talk about what is really brave…

  • showing up for a friend

  • daring to try new things

  • showing up for yourself

  • speaking up for others

  • courage for your true colors to be seen

  • following the dreams in our heart

The biggest kinds of brave are the ones that you face every day. The ones that keep coming at you, requiring sustained focus and belief. The choices you make everyday in how you show up in the world. When you test yourself, your values, your beliefs that are no longer serving you. The choice to keep going, to keep dreaming. Knowing in your heart that it’s possible to truly live a life that you love.

Yet because we face them every day, we kind of feel like they “don’t count”. Because they are small moments. Because they happen to everyone. Because they don’t seem more mundane than anything special. But what not everyone sees is the ripple effect of these moments of everyday brave. Of exploring our growth edges in small, safe ways so that we are more prepared when the big moment happens.

Let’s give more credit ourselves and all the ways that we are brave.

Notice the opportunities to prepare ourselves for the life our hearts dream of. Make a list of the ways that you nudge yourself forward with moments of everyday brave.

And keep finding ways to be brave with your life.
